In the wake of the 2008 fires that devastated our county, the BC-RCD has received a grant to provide technical assistance to the Butte County residence. The BC-RCD is teaming up with the Butte County Fire Safe Council to host four interactive workshops throughout the county.
You can make a difference for your family, home and community when wildfire strikes. Join local fire safety experts for an interactive workshop with demonstrations, maps and aerial photos to help you create a fire safe plan for your property. Topics to be covered include creating defensible space, wildfire impacts to your property and watershed, reducing risks and increase values on your property, potential funding opportunities for forest and rangeland stewardship and much more!
Please register early and at least one week in advance, the cost of the workshop is a $15.00 sliding scale which includes lunch and an aerial photograph of your property. Scholarships are available.
